In class today we had a man named Nathan Taffel come in and talk to us. He’s a holocaust survivor (his page is here) and he was born in Poland. He lives around an hour away from me now, and he takes strong to a whole new level. He discussed how young he was when he was taken away, losing his family, and how he came out strong and created a family here in the States.
Afterwards, he took pictures with us, gave us hugs, and answered our questions that we had about him and the war. If you’re interested in this kind of stuff, PLEASE buy a copy of his biography written by his niece- they’re only $12 and I’ve read mine at least three times. Message me and I’ll give you the information!
Normally I don’t do many really long personal posts, but talking to this man changed my way of thinking and I honestly am so lucky to have met him. He is such a role model, and I know many people don’t get the chance to talk to a survivor like him. I am so grateful and so blessed to have had this opportunity.
